When perfect planning goes wrong

It always seems like if it isn't one thing it's another. You plan for your perfect day. You get up early, shower, dress, heck might even be able to eat breakfast in more than one bite. Everything seems to go along fine until you hit that bump in the road.

It looks like I've hit my bump. And quite possibly pretty hard. It's been a little difficult for me to get back into a groove where I feel comfortable. But for the past week, I got into it. I would drop off one kid to school and go do errands or a run with the other. It worked. I felt great after accomplishing just the little things. It would all come to a stop on Tuesday. I did my 'new' usual routine: dropped off kid A to school and then hopped back into the car and headed over to our usual running spot. I put in a couple of miles just to get it out of the way all while adding miles to the training. This particular morning I was struggling through my first mile. I blame my allergies. But I hit my stride and soon enough I had completed my 3+ mile workout. I was so happy! I even had time to head home, quickly shower and go off to the next thing which was a playgroup meeting. As I lifted the double jogging stroller I felt it. The twinge that just stops you in your tracks. I neglected to lift that Beast with my legs. I cursed at myself (ever so silently). Not now. I raced home grimacing through the pain and as soon as I could popped some Motrin, threw on an ice pack and hoped it would all pass in a matter of hours.

I have no idea what to do with training now. But it will definitely consist of me trying my best to rest this back of mine in hopes that I can get back to that wonderful groove.

GOAL!!!

I did it! I reached my Weight Watcher goal weight.

After 16 weeks, I have lost a total of 30 pounds!!

I know I couldn't have done it without running and now I am even more motivated to work towards those 13.1 miles without those 30 pounds!
